RDBMS : Relational Data Base Management System
Database : It is an Organized Collection of Data
There are Two Types of Databases:-
1. Flat File Database
2. Relational Database
Flat File Database - It refers to the data file that contains records stored in a single file. For Example : MS Excel or any Spreadsheet Program
Relational Database - It is a type of Database that stores data in several tables and these tables are related to one other in such a way that whenever there is a need , that data can be extracted individually or multiple tables together . For Example : MYSQL , Open Office Base , Oracle , Sybase , MS-SQL Server , MS Access , etc.
Where is DBMS Used:
1. Banking- For customer information, account activities, payments. deposits, loans, etc.
2. Airlines- For reservations and schedule information.
3. Universities- For student information, course registrations, colleges and grades.
It is used in several more places.
